My name is Curt Brandhorst, I have been a Graphic Designer for close to 30 years now. I am based in Portland, Oregon and Sacramento, California. Because of the accessability of the Internet, I have served clients from as far away as Australia and The United Kingdom.

My goal as a designer is to create sites that capture the viewer's attention based on design rather than gadgets. If I do my job properly, people will remember the site, and what you are trying to communicate to them.

There is an old saying that a picture is worth a thousand words... well, on the web, this takes a slightly different twist. An 800x600 picture compressed to medium quality will weigh about 150-160kb. That's about the same size as a 13,000 word essay in MSWord. Therefore, as a designer my biggest job isn't always the easiest to explain. My job is to find the best balance of ingredients for you.

Think of me as a chef, trying to devise the best recipe for your message. Yes, there is a need for graphics, there is a need for photography, there are even needs for flash documents, audio clips, and movies... but rarely are all things needed on the same site.

I work very hard to create sites which will show your message off to its best light, are viewable to the most people, and are memorable. If you're looking for a web designer, please drop me a note.
